Establishing a functional Independent Institutional Review Board (IRB) for trials conducted by AAPH.

The aim of this project was to establish an AAPH Internal Review Board (IRB). This project has been completed with annual technical and financial reports approved by the sponsor. Through this grant, AAPH has established an IRB with a fully-furnished office, maintained an administrative and financial officer, trained IRB members in collaboration with the Office of Human Subject Protection at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and appointed eleven members. The IRB is currently reviewing applicable standard operating procedures.
