Prof. Wafaie Fawzi, is the Richard Saltonstall Professor of Population Sciences, Professor of Nutrition, Epidemiology, and Global Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He served as Chair of the Department of Global Health and Population at Harvard between 2011 and 2018. Over the past 25 years he has led the design and implementation of more than 20 randomized controlled trials and set up numerous observational epidemiologic studies of maternal, child and adolescent health, and major infectious diseases. He has published over 450 scientific journal articles, reviews, editorials, and book chapters. Establishing and fostering global health education and sustainable research capacity and knowledge translation has been long-term goals pursued as a faculty member and during his tenure as Department Chair. He completed his medical training at the University of 2 Khartoum, Sudan and his Master of Public Health, Masters of Science in Maternal and Child Health, and Doctorate of Public Health in Epidemiology and Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
