In order to accommodate activities that may require TFNC’s support in the coming year, the centre organized a 2-days working session bringing various NGOs together for a discussion on modes of operation between TFNC and the NGOs, and activities that may be jointly executed. This meeting marked the timelines, roles, responsibilities, and costing for both sides.
Among other NGOs, Africa Academy for Public Health (AAPH) was invited to share the organization’s nutrition priorities, propose activities gleaning from the National Multi-sectoral Nutrition Action Plan (NMNAP), identify areas of collaboration with TFNC and propose roles and deliverables for both sides.
AAPH highlighted the organization’s commitment to generate evidence-based findings with high impact on health and nutrition, contribute in building capacity for research and other public health related fields, and enhance partnerships and collaboration for translation of scientific evidence into practice.
Other invited NGOs were ACF, CUAMM, JHPIEGO, MSU/ASPIRES, SANKU, Millhouse, HKI, SCI, World Vision Tanzania, PACT Tanzania, Good Neighbours Mwanza, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete Foundation, COUNSENUTH, CRS, PANITA, AGRI THAMANI, and GAIN.
