DASH being a newly established Network, it has prudently set strategies for strengthening the network especially towards achieving such great feats. The Network has also stipulated steps towards realising the desired impact, nurturing the potential in the next generation of African public health research leaders, and sustaining the projects outcomes beyond the implementation lifetime. Among the efforts for this is the proactive collaboration and engagement within and beyond the DASH Network partners through the Conference on Adolescent Health in Sub-Saharan Africa (CAH-SSA).
Objective
To establish a platform for the DASH Network strengthening and knowledge exchange, transfer, translation and utilization within and beyond the Network.
Specific Objectives:
- Strengthening and expanding the network of existing DASH partners, including multiple stakeholders critical for adolescent health such as local and national policy makers, other researchers in SSA and representatives of the target group of adolescents.
- Conducting a stakeholder prioritizations process in the first DASH Conference on Adolescent Health to identify the most important and relevant adolescent health policies.
- Dissemination of DASH findings across all research tasks including observed best-practices among relevant stakeholders for a common understanding of the adolescent health trajectory in SSA.
- Conducting in-person targeted short-term trainings for DASH MSc, PhD, postdocs students while fostering a cross-country networking among the same.
